NEED FERTILIZED CHICKEN EGGS-It is almost that time of year where students in my 7th grade life science get to see the process of chicks hatching. During our recent cold snap the Union Gospel Mission in Sioux Falls had a water pipe burst on the third floor of their building that flooded the women’s center, thrift store, and distribution center. They rehoused 39 women and children into other facilities but have lost all their thrift store’s clothing, shoes, household items, and twin-size bedding. North Middle School will take donations from Friday, January 6th through Friday, January 13th. Items can be dropped off in the front office. This is a great chance to weed through and clean closets for gently used items that will be greatly appreciated by others.

As a result of the dangerously low wind chill temperatures forecast for tomorrow (-40 to -50 below), there will be no school on Thursday, December 22nd. All activities are canceled and there will be no childcare. Our facilities will also be closed on December 23rd. There will be no childcare or activities on the 23rd.
