The Jr. Kindergarteners were so excited to see all of the snow pile up outside of our window this week. We decided to embrace it by building snow forts for a STEAM and Habits of Mind activity!
On Thursday, we broke into three teams to plan the forts and come up with a supply list. On Friday morning, we used our plans to work together and create amazing structures!
We used many habits of mind to complete this teamwork activity- creativity, imagining, and innovating, thinking flexibly, persistence, thinking interdependently, responding with wonderment and awe, and thinking/communicating with clarity and precision. Now we can use another habit of mind- applying past knowledge to new situations- to go home and build some more!
