UBUNTU: Showing Humanity to others and the movement of:
I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE
- Learners in Mrs. Kirton’s fourth-grade classroom were treated to a visit
from Mrs. Lisa Brunick and learned from an expert about the power of UBUNTU.
They were treated to a slide show and then together, worked on creating watercolor letters for the benefit of all at Horizon Elementary.
- “My learners have done many activities throughout the year to better understand and embrace diversity, while offering inclusion through friendships and group work”, said fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Tonda Kirton. “I plan to keep this vital concept as part of my teaching in the future. It is because of individual uniqueness that life and our classroom is so interesting!”
