Nineteen, fourth-grade learners participated in a dissection club for two days after school at Horizon Elementary. Learners learned how various organs within the fetal pig, closely align to that of a organs in a human. The learners were eager and mature. They understood it was important to treat these specimens with respect. Learners worked well together, and they demonstrated perseverance throughout the steps of dissection. Thank you to the Horizon PTO for funding the purchase of the fetal pigs and to North Middle School for sharing dissection tools with our young scientists.
