A few important Thanksgiving meal related notes. The pumpkin fluff is always popular here, so attached is the recipe the kitchen staff uses if you'd like to attempt to make it from home!
The Freedom Elementary Christmas Giving Tree is up and decorated! We have items listed for families here in need of some help this holiday season. If you'd like to donate to the cause, please stop by the office and pick an ornament off the tree. If you can't make it to the building, your child may grab one off the tree with your permission. Freedom Elementary had the pleasure of listening to author and storytelling speaker Brian Skavnak today! He met with the whole school to kickoff the day, and then went to each grade and cohort sharing his message to "Be the Nice Kid." His funny and inspiring stories were a hit!
Pizza Bingo is this Friday, October 21st! This is always a popular event, so we hope to see you all there!
Students who need help with homework or a problem subject can get free virtual one-on-one tutoring sessions using a simple and secure online platform.
Parents will first need to register their students to use the platform. Once registered, sessions can either be pre-scheduled or on-demand, depending on tutor availability.
The program is staffed with university students accepted into their Schools of Education at Black Hills State University and Northern State University. This opportunity is being administered by the South Dakota Board of Regents with federal dollars available to the South Dakota Department of Education through the American Rescue Plan.
